Resilience& Wellbeing

As employee stress, anxiety and depression continues to impact engagement, productivity and retention, employers across all sectors are turning to JVAT to help cultivate a more resilient workforce.

TheProgram

Resilience is the cumulative knowledge, beliefs and skills that underpin wellbeing. Resilient people have deeper reservoirs to draw upon during tough times and they typically bounce back quicker when faced with a challenge. This lowers anxiety and depression, improves physical and mental health, and ultimately leads to higher levels of function.

To help people master adversity rather than avoid it, JVAT delivers scientifically supported resilience and wellbeing programs that focus on the following:

  1. Measuring an organisation’s existing resilience profile

  2. Developing individual and team programs to mature resilience

  3. Embedding resilience into HR and safety programs

  4. Providing employees with practical tools and tips that increase resilience

Delivery

JVAT facilitators bring personal resilience experiences and practical solutions, honed through exposure to stressful military and business environments – backed by the latest scientific studies.

The programs educate, motivate and empower employees to take control of their own resilience, at work and at home, by breaking the myth of work/life balance. They can be delivered face-to-face or online through a blended learning experience.

TheWorkshops

JVAT has delivered resilience programs to organisations of all shapes and sizes. The program delivers measurable and impactful changes to individual and team capacity in order to cope with the normal and abnormal stresses of business (and life), shifting perspectives on the ‘stress experience’ from a fixed to a growth mindset – from surviving to thriving.

Some of the material we cover in our program includes:

  1. Resilience – mechanisms for modern living

  2. The psychology and physiology of stress – diet, exercise and rest

  3. The power of habit and ritual

  4. Strengths and goal setting

  5. Hacking the brain and nervous system

  6. Reflective practice and continuous learning

  7. The creative workforce

  8. Getting, and staying, in the state of flow

  9. Creating resilient workspaces

TheModel

the-model

The JVAT Resilience Model provides a framework on which resilience is built – at an individual, team and organisational level. Application of the STOIC (individual) and GRIT (team) models results in an overall growth in organisational resilience as seen in the diagram above.

JVAT’s one-day  workshop identified some known items which I see the company struggling with specific use of productive time management techniques. The information and practices taught can be used for wellbeing as well as preventing injuries from stress, anger or anxiety. You use these techniques at work to improve productivity, as well as improve your way of life at home.

It has been six months since the workshop and I have noticed a marked improvement in my team’s productivity, results and all-round wellbeing. We are five months into 2019 and have already accomplished most of our 12-month goals. I am looking forward to seeing the results from the next online survey to see how our resilience profile has changed from the baseline.

It is without hesitation that I recommend JVAT’s Resilience and Wellbeing program.
